About Monsters Cave
Monsters Cave is a cinematic response to ocean plastic pollution that visualizes the “monsters” formed by waste on shores and in waters. Created by Dilsiri Welikala in collaboration with Director Mahinda Abeysinghe Born, this short film gives form to environmental crises through powerful imagery and storytelling. It was featured in Climate Positive, a public exhibition at Barefoot in Colombo inspiring climate action and community engagement through art, film, and immersive media.
