Sigiriya Rock Fortress or Lion Rock, is on of the most visited tourist destinations and most recognizable landmarks in Sri Lanka. The remains of a royal palace sit on top of the 200 meter high rock overlooking the ancient fortress city. The way up is decorated with beautiful frescoes and at the top you'll be rewarded with incredible views over the surrounding mountains and lakes.

Alternatively, we can take you to nearby Pidurangala Rock, which is less busy and looks over Sigiriya Rock.

After climbing up we'll take you to see the nearby Dambulla Cave Temples. Five seperate caves contain over 150 beautiful Buddha statues and paintings., including some of Sri Lanka's most important religious art. The Dambulla Cave Temples sit about 160 meters above the road and from the cave you can even see Sigirya Rock in the distance!

Both rocks and the Cave Temples are situated in the Central Province of Matale, about a 3 and a half hour drive from KSL.
