One of the best winter flat water kite trips

Navy Point is a classic winter flat water spot located at the tip of the Kalpitiya peninsula, just before Vella Island. About a 30‑minute boat ride from Kalpitiya’s Big Lagoon, this blue‑water playground is perfect for riders looking to enjoy smooth water, dependable wind, and a fun, social kitesurfing day.

During the winter season we run regular afternoon trips to Navy Point. There isn’t a beach hut here, but we bring snacks and refreshing drinks for you to enjoy on the beach. If you’re up for it, you can also choose to kitesurf back to camp — mainly a flat water downwinder with a few playful mini‑wave sections along the way.

Throughout the session, you’ll be supported by our rescue boat, and you’ll return to camp in time for dinner — ideal for combining a relaxed session with your evening plans.
