Dream Spot is a classic Kalpitiya favourite — a kite location just a 15‑minute boat ride from Kalpitiya Lagoon where you can ride both butter‑flat water in the lagoon and gentle waves in the Indian Ocean. The unique setting where the sandbank separates sea from lagoon makes it perfect for mixed sessions — whether you want cruising flat water or playful wave riding.

Located where the lagoon meets Dutch Bay, Dream Spot works well in summer conditions with consistent side‑shore and side‑offshore winds, making it equally fun for freestyle, freeride and intermediate wave sessions.

We organize half‑day kite trips here as part of our summer offerings, and the spot can also be included in a full day itinerary if you want more time on the water. Rescue support and boat transport make it easy to enjoy both sides of this versatile spot.
