This May, we are hosting the official IKO Instructor Training pathway right here in Kalpitiya. Whether you want to travel the world or simply share the stoke on your home spot, an IKO certification is your golden ticket to the global kite industry.

The Pathway to Pro
To become a certified Level 1 Instructor, you’ll go through two essential phases:
Phase 1: Assistant Training Course (ATC)
📅 15 – 20 May 2026 This is where you master the technical foundations, safety protocols, and the art of assisting. It’s the first step to sharpening your professional edge.
Phase 2: Instructor Training Course (ITC)
📅 22 – 27 May 2026 The real deal. Under the guidance of an IKO Examiner, you’ll learn how to teach safely, effectively, and confidently. By the end of these 6 days, you’ll be ready to change lives on the water.
Good to know:
- The Process: Registration and IKO fees are handled online via the IKO website. The Kitesurfing Lanka training fees are paid directly on-site.
- The Vibe: You’ll be staying at the camp, sharing meals with the tribe, and living the dream while you learn.
