From September 16th to September 28th, 2026, we are running the complete, intensive professional pathway right here in Kalpitiya—the wind capital of Sri Lanka.

The 2026 IKO Professional Training Lineup

The training is broken down into three logical blocks. You can take the entire track from start to finish, or jump into the specific block you need to complete your license.

🔹 Step 1: Assistant Training Course (ATC)

🗓 Dates: 16.09.26 – 21.09.26 (5 Days + 1 Wind-Flex Day)

This is your foundation for professional coaching. You will master technical kite theory, safety protocols, and group management on the beach.

• How it works: Once you register, you unlock “Module 1” eLearning, including videos, quizzes, and your practice exams online (with unlimited tries!). You arrive at KSL fully prepared for the practical, in-person training.

• Prerequisites: You must be 16+ years old and pass the confident IKO Level 4 Advanced riding requirements (riding upwind, flawless transitions, jibes, toe-side upwind, jumps with a grab, and deep-water self-rescue). Don’t worry, we will refine these on the water during the course!

• Fees: $199 USD (IKO Online Fee) + $500 USD (KSL Center Fee)

🔹 Step 2: Medic First Aid Course (MFA)

🗓 Date: 22.09.26 (1 Day)

Safety always comes first. To become a fully certified international instructor, you must hold a valid first aid and CPR certification.

• Who needs this? Anyone who doesn’t currently hold a valid First Aid/CPR license, or anyone whose current license is older than 2 years.

• Fees: $100 USD (Payable directly to the KSL front desk on-site).

🔹 Step 3: Instructor Training Course (ITC)

🗓 Dates: 23.09.26 – 28.09.26 (5 Days + 1 Wind-Flex Day)

The final stretch! This is where you learn official IKO pedagogy, understand live communication principles, and practice teaching real beginners under direct professional supervision. Pass this block, and you leave with your official international IKO Instructor License, ready to get hired anywhere in the world.

• Bonus: All printed manuals will be provided to you live on-site during the course.
